New channel partner allows company to meet needs of
Japanese carriers and other wireless markets
Milpitas, California – October 8, 2009 – Azalea Networks, a leading innovator in wireless network equipment and technology, today announced an agreement with ACTIS Corporation of Tokyo to provide its innovative wireless routing technology throughout Japan. ACTIS operates a Tokyo headquarters and seven other offices throughout Japan.
ACTIS, since its beginning, has been engaged in software development for communication systems in carriers, and has expanded over time into other technologies including Internet, information security, and IT solutions. “We feel very strongly that Azalea’s wireless routing technology is a good fit for our customer base, who is seeking a solution that provides intelligent voice, video, and data delivery at high performance levels,” commented Yoshiaki Higashino, ACTIS president and CEO. “This fits our strategy of growing in the areas of wireless mesh Wi-Fi, mobile IP telephony, and IP video surveillance,” he added.
Azalea’s technology provides municipalities, public safety applications, oil and gas operations, shipping ports, distribution centers, and business and education campuses with the benefits of turn-key wireless solutions while offering the ability to expand, grow or modify a network as needs change. The “intelligent” characteristics of Azalea’s network routing technology are inherent in its ability to deliver peer-to-peer routing across the entire network while enabling network management from the host to the client. Azalea’s solution also enhances its wireless network’s integration with other wireless and wired networks, including the Internet, enterprise networks, or service provider infrastructure, adding flexibility for the wireless network operator.
“With the need for scalable, yet highly-reliable wireless solutions, Azalea provides a solid fit and foundation for customers and partners to count on,” reported Rake Jiang, Azalea Vice President and General Manager, International Markets and Global Strategic Alliances. He added, “ACTIS’ connections with the major carriers and other technology markets will allow Azalea to reach out and better serve these markets throughout Japan.”
